and the older two kiddos will be in school! (and from 8:30-4:30, quite a break for me)
as of this morning they are officially registered.
Aaron took some time off from work to do it all (thank you very much my love, you are the bestest)
He got their exemption notarized and all the other paperwork filled out and turned into the school.
They are super excited.
Last night we bought Nathan 15 polo shirts and 7 bottoms for, get this, $40.
I looked up the brands (French Toast, Old Navy, Gap) and they would have cost over $250 new. A nice mama on craigslist was selling her son's school clothes because he's going into first grade and they are the same size Nathan needed. Yay for good deals, I was worried about getting him clothes in time just because they have to meet the "dress code" standards which is only a handful of colors and styles accepted. Polo shirts being one of the most popular anyway, that was what Denae wore most days last year. So now we just need to get her a few things, pants mostly cause she's grown out of her other ones and new backpacks for both of them and they will be set! I had their school supply list on the counter for a few days and was honestly kinda dreading going shopping to pick them out (the kids however, were excited) BUT then I read the bolded part, duh Katie, which says school supplies will be purchased by your child's teacher. woohoo! They just ask for $35 to cover the costs. Doesn't get any easier than that.
I was a little stressed over the things that need to get done in the next two weeks but now the kids school stuff is outta the way :-) I feel much better now.

Yes..! Now only few days are left for back to school.
WOW! That's a great deal! It's so awesome hearing how excited they are. I bet Nathan is going to have so much fun. That's a really long day though, did you include bus time or is that their school hours? That was the hardest part for me when the kids went back to "regular" school, was adjusting to how long they were away from home.
oh that includes the bus ride. school is from 8:55-3:50 so still quite a long day, especially for Nathan. I'll miss him but I think he's going to love it!
